CPR stands for cardiopulmonary resuscitation. It is an emergency life-saving procedure that is done when someone's breathing or heartbeat has stopped. This may happen after a medical emergency, such as an electric shock, heart attack, or drowning. CPR combines rescue breathing and chest compressions.

CPR Certification is a group of problem-solving medical procedures and techniques designed to provide urgent treatment of life-threatening cardiac emergencies such as cardiac arrest and stroke. CPR Plus includes Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and First Aid training.

An AED, or automated external defibrillator, is used to help those experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. It's a sophisticated, yet easy-to-use, medical device that can analyze the heart's rhythm and, if necessary, deliver an electrical shock, or defibrillation, to help the heart re-establish an effective rhythm.

AED class meets OSHA workplace requirements for CPR and teaches you to respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies for adults, how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), care for conscious and unconscious choking.

Basic Life Support, or BLS, generally refers to the type of care that first-responders, healthcare providers and public safety professionals provide to anyone who is experiencing cardiac arrest, respiratory distress or an obstructed airway.

BLS certification teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills. It trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED.
